Devara is Jr NTR's latest film in the direction of Koratala Siva. The film marks the Telugu debut of Janhvi Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan and has music by Anirudh.
Devara is one of the most awaited films in Telugu cinema. NTR has teamed up with his favorite director Koratala Siva for this biggie after a long gap. The shooting of the film is nearing its completion and as reported, Devara will be released in two parts. The first part will be out on April 5, 2024. News has come out that the film might miss its release date due to a delay in post-production.
Well, we at OTTplay have some interesting updates regarding the film's theme. We have come to know that Devara is a father-son story and Jr NTR plays both the father and son. Only one look of NTR as the son has been revealed and the lead-up to the sequel will highlight his aspect as per the news.
If you go back in time, Koratala Siva's first film, Mirchi, featuring Prabhas had the same father-son setup and was a solid hit. Looks like Koratala has gone back to this solid theme and readied a script for Devara. The film is also about the forgotten coastal lands which are used for smuggling.
The theme of Devara is huge as it touches on various aspects in its two-part release. Most of the shoot is done and the makers are racing towards the release deadline. Devara is also special in many ways as it marks the Telugu debut of Hindi stars Saif Ali Khan and Janhvi Kapoor. They have been paid big bucks to act in this biggie.
Anirudh composed the music for this film and he is also one of the reasons for the film's delay as he has yet to wrap up a few songs and BGM for the film. Jr NTR is known as the powerhouse of talent and playing a mature role will be very interesting on screen. We need to see how he portrays two challenging roles at a time.
Netflix has bought the OTT rights of Devara for a massive price which is the highest ever in jr NTR's career. This is a prestigious film for NTR as it is being released after the massive success of Rajamouli's RRR. Watch this space for more.
