Devi Sri Prasad comes on board for Suriya, Siva's film; the untitled project is all set to go on floors

Suriya, who is busy with Bala's Vanangaan and Vetri Maaran's Vaadivaasal, has geared up for his next. Siva will be directing his next outing which has been tentatively titled Suriya 42. The film which was supposed to go on floors earlier was postponed when the actor got busy with other commitments.  

Siva then went ahead with Rajinikanth's Annaatthe which was released in theatres in November last year. We now hear that the movie's crew is set to begin its production. Suriya will join the shooting soon and will complete a schedule after which he is expected to join Vanangaan.

There were speculations on Anirudh being brought on board to compose music for the project. But it looks like Devi Sri Prasad has bagged the opportunity. Though an official announcement is yet to be made, the music director has hinted at his inclusion in the movie with his tweet.

He retweeted a post of a movie buff which mentioned DSP being a part of Suriya 42. The post also had a video of Siva praising DSP for the sensational songs he had composed for Pushpa at the pre-release event of The Warriorr. The filmmaker had mentioned about the possibility of joining hands with the musician again, too.

Many unconfirmed reports are doing the rounds about the female lead of the movie. The names of Pooja Hegde and Disha Patani have been trending on social media, albeit film lovers and fans of Suriya are eagerly waiting for an update.

If everything goes well, Suriya 42 might be released in 2023. The actor's next release could be Vanangaan. He was last seen in the Tamil version of Madhavan's Rocketry while his previous full-fledged presence was in Etharkkum Thunindhavan.
