Devi Sri Prasad is on cloud nine after garnering the National Award for Best Music Director for Pushpa which was released in 2021. The songs from the Allu Arjun-starrer turned out to be a rage across the country right after the movie's success.

The makers are busy with the filming of Pushpa 2, and the award has come as a huge motivation for them. Arjun has won the Best Actor award as well, leaving the team overwhelmed. DSP took to Twitter the other day to thank his mother, father, and guru Mandolin U Srinivas for helping him achieve the coveted recognition.

He has now visited Ilaiyaraaja, who he regards as the God of music and sought his blessings. The video of the former visiting the latter's studio and interacting with him is doing the rounds on social media. His tweet read, "Thank You Dearest ISAIGNANI ILAIYARAAJA sirr For all the INSPIRATION..That led me to the NATIONAL AWARD (sic)."

DSP has always expressed his admiration for the legendary musician. The two of them came together for a concert last year in Chennai, and he was over the moon for having collaborated with the veteran.

The likes of Kamal Haasan and Suriya were the first ones to wish DSP from the Tamil film industry after he won the award. The latter's Kanguva is one of the much-expected projects the musician currently works on. Suriya and DSP earlier worked on Aaru, Singam and Singam 2.

Kanguva, helmed by Siva, is going to be the biggest film Kollywood awaits in 2024. The fantasy action drama will be released in several languages like never before. Its glimpse video was out a month ago, on Suriya's birthday.
