Dhanush hails Arun Madheshwaran’s action-revenge drama Rocky as a ‘gem’

As Arun Matheswaran’s Rocky is gearing up to hit theatres soon, the team is on cloud nine after actor Dhanush’s tweet. He has expressed his opinion about the film prior to release and called it a ‘gem’. 

Dhansuh took to his social media to compliement the team, and commented about the strong performances. “This film is an absolute GEM!! Watch out for some very strong performances. Especially from my beloved Bharathiraja sir. Best of luck to the entire team. Especially the very talented Arun Matheswaran. God bless”, he wrote in his tweet. 

Audiences and fans could be seen much excited for the release, under Dhanush’s comment session. Many expressed their curiosity, while some others were asking for updates on the most-expected Dhanush upcoming Maaran. 

The project of Arun Matheswaran has already stirred the audiences, since its announcement.The filmmaker has been a popular name as he has worked as an assistant director to Thiagarajan Kumararaja in the critically acclaimed Aranya Kaandam. He has also worked with director Sudha Kongara in Irudhi Suttru, and has penned the dialogues for the same.

Rocky features Vasanth Ravi and Bharathirajaa in the lead, and is backed by Vignesh Shivan and actress Nayanthara. The movie co-stars Raveena Ravi and Rohini as well. Bharathirajaa will be seen performing as an elderly gangster, and the director had already said it is going to be a ‘powerful’ role.

During the poster announcement earlier this month, Vigneshan Shivan had written about the film as ‘one of a kind’. He had also revealed the movie will be released on December 23.
