The makers of the upcoming Malayalam film, Dheeran, have dropped its trailer today (June 24), a week ahead of its theatrical release. The clip shows a glimpse into the lead characters and the premise of the comedy drama, which will hit the big screen on July 4.
The two-minute-and-fifteen-second video provides an insight into the life of Eldhose, also known as Dheeran, played by Rajesh Madhavan. It seems that Eldhose has been hailed as their town's hero since he was twelve years old. A look at the turmoil his eccentric uncles—Jagadish, Sudheesh, and Ashokan—get into together and their lives is also shown. Their battle against a Tamil thug is also depicted. Overall, the trailer suggests that the movie will be a wild, funny delight for moviegoers in theatres.
The film's July theatrical release date was previously confirmed. The actors of the movie appeared in a humorous video that disclosed the date. As of right now, no other Malayalam films are planned for release in July. The cast and crew of the movie released a funny teaser on March 6.
Devadath Shaji, who co-wrote Mammootty's well-liked action movie Bheeshma Parvam, has helmed Dheeran. He also worked for Kumbalangi Nights as an assistant director. An important role in this comedy-drama is played by Rajesh Madhavan. His most recent role was in Basil Joseph's Maranamass, which can be streamed on Sony LIV and OTTplay Premium. The rest of the cast of the movie includes Sudheesh, Jagadish, Vineeth, Ashokan, Manoj K Jayan, Siddharth Bharathan and Abhiram Radhakrishnan.
The film has been funded by Lakshmi Warrier and Ganesh Menon under the auspices of Cheers Entertainments. This production company is well-known for producing films such as Jaya Jaya Jaya Jaya Hey and Falimy. Mujeeb Majeed has composed the film's soundtracks. Dheeran's cinematographer is Harikrishnan Lohithadas, the son of the late filmmaker Lohithadas.
