After a long wait, it was announced sometime ago that Dhruva Natchathiram, starring Vikram in the lead, went on floors again to complete its pending portions. The Gautham Menon directorial commenced several years ago and its trailer was unveiled in 2017.

In 2020, the makers released a video song from the action flick when many cinephiles had actually forgot about the movie. Despite regular requests from film lovers on the project's release update, the team remained tight-lipped, leaving them disappointed. However, an unexpected development gave hopes to them recently. A few sources informed that the film is likely to be released this year.

Now, there is a crucial update for fans of Vikram and Gautham Menon. Benedict Garrett, who has played a part in the movie, has informed that the film has been slated for a theatrical release in May. The project is his second outing in Tamil.

Harris Jayaraj has composed music for the film which has cinematography handled by Manoj Paramahamsa. This will be Vikram's second release in 2023 after Ponniyin Selvan 2 which will hit the screens on April 28. If everything goes well, Pa Ranjith's Thangalaan, starring the star in the lead, might also hit the screens this year.
