Fans of Vikram, who were happy to have watched three films of their favourite star in 2022, are excited about the actor having two outings in 2023. However, they have been upset over the uncertainty in the release of the long-pending movie Dhruva Natchathiram which has Gautham Menon at the helm.

The first teaser of the action-packed project was unveiled six years ago. The makers released another teaser in 2018, and fans had pinned high hopes back then. But the makers never came up with an update on its release.

Quite unexpectedly, the team has now revealed an update on the much-awaited film. They have announced that the makers are busy with shooting the pending portions of the project. According to sources, the release of the movie is expected in a few months' time; an official update is awaited on the same.

Vikram plays John, an intelligent agent in the movie, which has Simran, Aishwarya Rajesh, Parthiban, Radhika Sarathkumar and Ritu Varma among others playing key roles in it. Harris Jayaraj is the composer for Dhruva Natchathiram which has editing by Praveen Antony and cinematography by Manoj Paramahamsa.

The actor has Pa Ranjith's Thangalaan and Mani Ratnam's Ponniyin Selvan 2 gearing up for releases this year. The former's release date is yet to be locked while the latter will hit the screens on April 28. There have been reports of the versatile actor being part of Lokesh Kanagaraj's Vijay-starrer Leo, but looks like it's too early to talk about it.

Many are hoping that the star might appear in a cameo in the movie like how Suriya made an appearance in the director's last outing Vikram.
