The Gautham Vasudev Menon directorial action spy flick, Dhruva Natchathiram, which is yet to see the light of day, has been a film that has seen more postponements than any Tamil film ever. As fans patiently wait for the Vikram-starrer's release, Ritu Varma, who plays the female lead in the film, opened up about working on the film and shared her insights on the delay in release.
The actress revealed that the team has been awaiting the release of the film for a long time. “The continuous postponement of Dhruva Natchathiram’s release has been quite disheartening for me. It's truly a great film, and I'm eager for audiences to witness Gautham sir's brilliance once again,” the actress revealed.
Talking about her admiration for the Tamil director’s work, Ritu said that it was her dream to work with Gautham Vasudev Menon in Dhruva Natchathiram. “Being a huge Gautham Vasudev Menon fan girl, working with him was a dream come true. When the poster of Dhruva Natchathiram was released, I was so excited that I couldn't stop talking about it all day,” Ritu exclaimed. She also added that working on the film had been an ‘unreal experience’.
Although previous reports suggested Dhruva Natchathiram will be released in March, it did not happen. However, now it is speculated that the movie’s release might have been pushed to a date after the Lok Sabha elections. Unfortunately, there isn’t an official confirmation about the same, hence fans may have to wait a little longer.
Meanwhile, Ritu was last seen in Vishal-starrer Mark Antony and Amazon Prime web series the Modern Love: Chennai anthology. Apart from Dhruva Natchathiram, the actress will be seen in Telugu entertainer film Swag which is currently in its production stage.
