Arulnithi, who had back-to-back releases D Block and Deja Vu recently, is ready with his next, titled Diary. The movie which has been helmed by debutant Innasi Pandiyan is slated for a theatrical release in August. The makers have now unveiled its two-and-a-half minute trailer which offers a glimpse into the movie's plot.

The film revolves around mysterious bus accidents which happen at a specific location on Coimbatore-Ooty road. Arulnithi plays an investigative officer who tracks down the reason behind repeated accidents. How the investigation leads to mayhem forms the rest of the story.

Producer-turned-filmmaker Kathiresan has bankrolled Diary under the banner of Five Star Creations while Udhayanidhi's Red Giant Movies has bagged theatrical rights of the thriller flick. Pavithra Marimuthu plays the female lead in the project which has music composed by Ron Ethan Yohann.

Aravinnd Singh and SP Raja Sethupathi have handled cinematography and editing respectively for the movie which has art direction helmed by Raju. Pradeep Dinesh has composed action choreography while Sri Krish and Viji Satish have jointly choreographed dance moves for a few songs.

There were a few reports about Diary hitting the screens on August 11 while it is also heard that the movie might release only on August 31. The postponement of a couple of big ticket Tamil films which were supposed to hit the screens in August has created quite a stir in the film industry, leading to shuffle in the release of a few projects.

An announcement with regard to Diary's release date is expected any time soon. The film's trailer was launched at an event which celebrated the 15th anniversary of Red Giant Movies that distributes the movie in Tamil Nadu.
