Aamir Khan, currently making headlines for Sitaare Zameen Par, recalls how his movie Dhoom 3 was supposed to be different from what was in the script. The actor said that producer Aditya Chopra made a mistake with the film. He recalled the original storyline and how that would have affected the film. Here's everything the actor said...
During his interview with Mashable, Aamir Khan said that producer Aditya Chopra made a mistake with Dhoom 3. He recalled the original storyline of the 2013 film and how Jai Dixit (Abhishek Bachchan)'s wife Sweety (played by Rimi Sen) was supposed to return to the story to divorce him. The superstar shared that was how the film was originally planned to begin.
"Adi aur Victor ko laga woh zaruri nahi hai toh unhone nikaal diya, shoot hi nahi kiya. Mere hisaab se woh unhone galati ki. Abhi toh wife ka character hi nahi hai naa. Original mein yeh tha wife jo hai woh usko divorce dene waali hai. Start usse hi hota hai," Aamir recalled.
Aamir revealed that the story would be about how Sweety felt ignored by her cop husband, which is when Jai Dixit would receive a message about the new case in Chicago, thus causing a dilemma to choose between his personal and professional life. The actor further revealed that Jai's case and honeymoon were supposed to end simultaneously and that she knew about the case and urged her husband to not return home till he caught the criminal. Aamir believed the scene would have helped the film, for there would be an emotional connection.
