Radikaa Sarathkumar recently took to her official X (formerly Twitter) handle and lashed out at a recent film. The netizens now think that she is talking about Ranbir Kapoor’s Animal.
Animal, the action drama that stars Ranbir Kapoor in the lead role, finally had its much-awaited OTT release recently. The blockbuster film, which is helmed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, is currently streaming on Netflix in five languages. As you may know, Animal is one of the most criticised Indian films of recent times. Despite emerging as a massive success at the box office, the Ranbir Kapoor-starrer failed to impress a massive section of audiences, who feel the film is extremely problematic.
Recently, senior South Indian actress Radikaa Sarathkumar took to her official X (formerly Twitter) handle and dropped a post, taking a dig at a recent film. Even though Radikaa refrained from revealing the name of the movie, the veteran actress stated that she ‘cringed’ watching it.
The Merry Christmas actress, who is deeply disturbed after watching this particular film, took to her official X (formerly Twitter) handle and expressed her thoughts with a short yet crisp note. “Have anyone cringed watching a movie? I wanted to throw up watching a particular movie... (angry face emojis). So so angry..,” reads Radikaa Sarathkumar’s post. Even though the actress did not mention the name of the film or any other details, the netizens have already concluded that she is indeed hinting at Animal.
“Connecting the dots! It’s #Animal,” commented an internet user on her post. “#AnimalOnNetflix effect,” wrote another follower, along with a couple of laughing smileys. “I think you are talking about ANIMAL, directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga..,” wrote another fan.

However, a few other netizens, who also think that Radikaa Sarathkumar is taking a dig at Animal, criticised the actress for the same. “If it’s animal, sadly as an artist you are sitting on your retired chair and judging work’ And also considering that millions who watched and cracked it with 500 crore blockbuster are cringeworthy shows the lack of tolerance! As usual, it’s not old school running around trees behind the hero, so I understand ur anger lol,” reads the comment of a follower.
Initially, it was rumoured that Animal would be released on Netflix with a few additional scenes, which were originally deleted from the theatrical version. However, it was just a rumour, and the OTT giant has released the exact same theatrical version of the Ranbir Kapoor starrer. As expected, the Sandeep Reddy Vanga directorial has been receiving lots of flak from netizens after its OTT release, owing to its extremely disturbing content. However, the makers and team members remain unfazed by any criticisms.
