The Rahul Sadasivan directorial is much-awaited, and even the premiere shows are seeing good bookings. Amid this, reports have emerged that Sreenath Bhasi’s film Pongala, which was also initially set for an October 31 release, has been pushed to December 2025.

Malayalam actor Sreenath Bhasi’s upcoming film has been pushed to December 5, as per Malayalam media reports. Pongala was initially set to release on October 31, 2025, setting up a direct clash with Pranav Mohanlal’s Dies Irae, which is evidently the bigger film with a star and a notable director. But the reports did not give a reason as to why the movie release was postponed.
There is not much buzz about Pongala, which the makers have said is an action-comedy thriller. Directed by AB Binil, the film also features Baburaj, Sudheer Karamana, Alencier, Sampath Ram, and Kichu Tellus. Currently, there are no other Malayalam films scheduled for release on December 5. Dileep’s Bha Bha Ba is set to release on December 18, and Nivin Pauly-starrer Sarvam Maya on December 25.
