Dil Dosti Aur Dogs Trailer OUT: Neena Gupta, Sharad Kelkar's film has a 'paw'-some plot that every fur parent should watch

February is all set to wrap it up with a beautiful JioHotstar's upcoming film, Dil Dosti Aur Dogs. By the title of the film, you already guessed that it will deal with dogs, couples, and friends. It will explore the role of dogs in our lives. As the release date is near, the makers dropped the heartwarming trailer of the film.

The 1-minute and 45-second trailer of Dil Dosti Aur Dogs opens with a couple who argues all the time. They go to a consultant to discuss the matter and they are advised to pet a dog as people say dog parents are the happiest in the world. On the other hand, Sharad Kelkar and his family also bring a dog as they were going through some problems. Menawhile, Neena Gupta also has a dog to better her life. The trailer actually focuses on the roles of dogs and how it impact our lives in a good way. But what if your dog go missing? The film will capture that emotion as well.

Neena Gupta on Dil Dosti Aur Dogs

Neena Gupta who plays the role of Bethany Lawrence in Dil Dosti Aur Dogs said, “Playing this character was a deeply emotional experience for me. She is a woman who has suppressed her passions and distanced herself from the world, but through an unexpected companion, she realizes that there is still so much more to life. It is a beautiful journey of rediscovery and I connected with it on a personal level."

She also said that working with director Viral Shah was an absolute pleasure as he has a clear vision and yet gives them the creative space to really embrace their characters. She added that the entire cast brought so much warmth to the set, and it felt like a family. She particularly loved sharing the screen with her incredible co-stars, each of whom brought something unique to the story. The actress can’t wait for the audience to experience this heartwarming journey.

Sharad Kelkar on Dil Dosti Aur Dogs

Sharad Kelkar who plays Sanjay said, “Sharing screen space with Kirti was special, but what touched me the most was my bond with my on-screen daughter. It made me reflect on my relationship with my real daughter and brought us even closer. Working with the dogs on set was a very soothing experience."

He further added that Viral Shah, being a dog lover himself, ensures that the dog characters are given as much importance as the cast are, making it even more 1/3 heartwarming. "I hope our film will make you laugh, cry and most importantly, cherish the love around you, be it from a person or a pet. With ‘Dil Dosti Aur Dogs’ releasing on Jio Hotstar, I am excited that such a meaningful film will reach a wider audience and spread love," he added. 

The film features a stellar cast of acting talents including Neena Gupta, Masumeh Makhija, Sharad Kelkar, Kunaal Roy Kapur, Keerti Kelkar, Tinu Anand, Ehan Bhat, and Tridha Chaudhary. The film will be released on JioHotstar on February 28.
