Dino Morea, who made a mark in Hindi cinema in the 2000s and went onto act in Malayalam and Tamil industries as well, is gearing up for his Telugu debut with Akhil Akkineni’s spy thriller Agent. He’s speculated to play the baddie in the Surender Reddy directorial. In a media interaction in Hyderabad, the Aksar star shared his experiences of working with team Agent.
“The idea of a hero and villain is outdated these days. We only notice characters, protagonists/antagonists in films. I don’t wish to talk much about my role; you’ll get to know him better in the trailer. He’s a sweet, romantic guy - it explains why he has tattoos, guns and a long hairdo. I always wanted to do action and I was drawn to the film because of the narration. It was a fantastic story to be a part of,” he said.
“Surender Reddy is an established director and I thought it would be an excellent opportunity to debut in Telugu. I had a great time with the producer Anil Sunkara and he promised he would cast me again. I hope I get to work with the director, Akhil and everybody sometime soon. This film will surprise one and all. My cinematographer Rasool said I’d be a revelation; I hope the words ring true,” Dino added.
While referring to the challenges during the shoot, Dino stated, “A lot of people are talking about frustrations, chaos and tough moments here, but trust me, there was nothing of it on sets. When you come to shoot a film, you arrive on the set wholeheartedly, ready to do everything. Matching dates was an issue at times yes, but we had the best time. Only in movies do you get to go to beautiful countries and shoot action, ride cars and bikes. When do you get to do that otherwise? It was an adventure, a great one.”
Sakshi Vaidya, Mammotty play other crucial roles in the thriller that releases globally on April 28.
