Dipika Kakar has finally broken her silence on the rumours of her abandoning her daughter from her previous marriage. While her husband Shoaib Ibrahim had already spoken about his side in the matter, this is the first time that Dipika has also opened up about the same. It is to be noted that the rumours started doing the rounds when she and Shoaib were expecting their first child together, Ruhan.

Media reported that Dipika Kakar abandoned her daughter from previous wedding to Raunak Samson (four years married till 2015). The Bigg Boss 12 winner finally addressed the rumours with teary-eyes in video interview with Nayandeep Rakshit. "Main ek maa pe bhi itna bada allegation lagane ka sochungi bhi nahi, ki usne apni beti ko abandon kar diya," she said.

Dipika Kakar was expecting Ruhan at the time

The rumours broke out when Dipika and Shoaib Ibrahim were expecting their first child together (married in 2018, became parents in 2023). Dipika was pregnant with Ruhan. She kept worrying that people would question their baby about the situation. The actress further revealed that Ruhan is a premature baby and the couple had a difficult time in the hospital.

Shoaib Ibrahim addressed the rumours

Shoaib Ibrahim had also addressed the rumours in his vlog. He not only called the news fake but also stated that the motive behind spreading such information was bad. He clarified that Dipika got affected mentally and asked people not to jump to conclusions.

Dipika Kakar was a part of Bigg Boss 12 (available for streaming on JioCinema via OTTplay Premium), and proved to be the biggest challenger to Hina Khan. They fought it out on the stage, and Dipika emerged the winner of the Salman Khan-hosted show. Dipika has gone on to appear on various shows since, but more prominently appears on YouTube with her husband, Shoaib Ibrahim.
