PremiumDivya Pillai and Athmiya Rajan join Unni Mukundan’s upcoming comedy Shafeekinte Santosham
The movie, which is scripted and directed by Anup Pandalam, is set to go on floors soon

Unni Mukundan is all set to begin the shoot of his second production venture Shafeekinte Santosham. The actor, who had celebrated the 100 days of his debut production Meppadiyan, will begin shooting for debutant director Anup Pandalam’s movie from April 16.
While he had teamed up with Anju Kurian in Meppadiyan, the actor’s upcoming comedy will have Divya Pillai and Athmiya Rajan as the female protagonists. Divya, who was last seen in Tovino Thomas’ Kala last year, also has Vineeth Kumar’s action drama Simon Daniel coming up. Joseph fame Athmiya, meanwhile, was part of Shanil Muhammed’s Aviyal, which hit theatres in Kerala last week.
Shafeekinte Santosham, which is directed by Gulumal fame Anup, is touted to be a realistic comedy with Unni playing the titular character. The movie apparently has him as an NRI who returns to Kerala from Dubai and revolves around a series of fun incidents that happen in his life.
The shoot of the feel-good entertainer, which has Eldho Isaac as its cinematographer, is expected to begin on April 16 in Erattupetta. The upcoming film will also have Manoj K Jayan, Bala, Shehin Siddique, Sminu Sijo and Mithun Ramesh as part of its cast.
Unni, meanwhile, in an earlier interview with OTTplay had said that he is also gearing up for his directorial debut, which could go on floors next year. The actor, who is also part of Samantha’s Yashoda, also has another Telugu project coming up.
Unni is also part of two upcoming movies helmed by Jayaraj and also Arun Bose’s untitled film, which has Aparna Balamurali as the female protagonist. The actor is also part of Jeethu Joseph’s upcoming mystery drama 12th Man, which has Mohanlal in the lead. 12th Man, which also has Sshivada, Saiju Kurup and Rahul Madhav, is set to release on Disney+ Hotstar soon.
