The quality of the movies from the film industry has got people from across the country streaming Malayalam content more than ever. Bro Daddy

Mohanlal and Prithviraj Sukumaran play father and son in this feel-good comedy entertainer that revolves around the Kattadi family. Packed with humour, the film, which marks Prithviraj's second directorial venture after Lucifer, has a stellar ensemble cast featuring Kalyani Priyadarshan, Meena, Soubin Shahir, Unni Mukundan, Lalu Alex and Kavya Shetty in pivotal roles.

Ellam Sheriyakum

Veteran politician KC Chacko is forced to give up his dream of becoming Kerala Chief Minister, a day before his swearing-in ceremony as his daughter Ancy elopes with a youngster named Vineeth. Three years later, he has win the election again to realise the dream, but this time he is pitted against Vineeth. The film, directed by Jibu Jacob, has Asif Ali, Rajisha Vijayan and Sidhique in the lead.

Aaha

On the fateful day that Kochu is blamed for his legendary tug-of-war team's first loss in years, he faces a personal tragedy, forcing him to give up everything dear to him. Twenty years later, a motley group of youngsters approach him to train them in the sport, giving Kochu a second lease of life to reclaim part of what he has lost. Based on the true story of the Aaha Neeloor team in Kerala, the film has Indrajith Sukumaran, Amith Chakalakkal, Ashwin Kkumar, Aswathlal and Santhy Balachandran as part of the cast.

Bhoothakaalam

The thriller, directed by Rahul Sadasivan, revolves around a mother and son played by Revathy and Shane Nigam. Co-produced by Shane and Anwar Rasheed, the movie was shot in and around Kochi, and also has Saiju Kurup, Abhiram Radhakrishnan, James Eliya and Manju Pathrose as part of the cast.

Veeram

Through a mishmash of William Shakespeare's Macbeth and North Kerala ballads, director Jayaraj's Veeram tells the story of legendary warrior Chandu Chekavar, his bravery and betrayal that haunts him for the rest of his life. The movie, which is the fifth instalment in the filmmaker's famed Navarasa series, marked Kunal Kapoor's Mollywood debut. The period-drama also has Divinaa Thakur in a pivotal role.

Kesu Ee Veedinte Nadhan

The Nadhirshah directorial, which has Dileep playing a sexagenarian, is touted to be an all-out entertainer. The movie has Urvashi playing the female lead. The film marks the first collaboration between long-time friends Nadhirshah and Dileep as director and actor for a feature film. Kesu Ee Veedinte Nadhan also has Anusreee, Naslen, Kottayam Nazir, Ganapathi, Swasika Vijay and Jaffer Idukki as part of the cast.

Minnal Murali

Tovino Thomas plays the lead role of Jaison aka Minnal Murali in this superhero origins story, directed by Basil Joseph. The movie revolves around a young tailor who gets superpowers after being struck by lightning. However, he isn’t the only one who acquires newfound abilities.

Muddy

Muddy follows the lives of Muthu, a hardworking woodcutter/driver with a tumultout past and his cousin Karthi, a racer. As an old foe comes back seeking revenge, the brothers come together putting family rivalry to rest.

Bheemante Vazhi

A group of families decide to widen the pathway leading to their houses, after years of struggling to make their way through the lane. While all families initially agree to give a part of their property for the passage, Kosthep, who owns the final piece of land, stands as a ‘roadblock’. Kunchacko Boban, Jinu Joseph and Chemban Vinod Jose play the leads in this movie.

Madhuram

A group of by-standers at a government hospital form a bond, helping each other out during trying times. The most positive among them is Sabu (Joju George), whose wife has been admitted in the ICU. As he recounts his love story, he also helps those around him find hope and mend their relationships.

Kolaambi

A veteran couple, who run a tea-shop where the customers can request a song that will be played in loudspeakers, become the muse for an artiste, who is visiting Kochi as part of the Biennale. Starring Nithya Menen, Renji Panicker and Rohini, the film directed by TK Rajeevkumar is packed with references from music history.

RJ Madonna

Helmed by Anand Krishna Raj and starring Amalendu K Raj, the film revolves around an RJ who travels to a mysterious house with her lover. Soon, they confront an unexpected guest in the house, which leads to some unfortunate incidents.

Baby Sam

Baby Sam follows Anto (Midhun Ramesh) and Vidhya (Anjali Nair), a married couple who are trapped in a house in an abandoned apartment complex, with their toddler stranded outside. With crimes against children prevalent in the city, can Anto and Vidhya find their child and get him back home safe?

Kurup

Born as Gopikrishnan (Dulquer Salmaan), a young airman fakes his own death and assumes a new identity, first to desert the Indian Air Force. Later, he tries to pull off the same stunt with a group of men to get his insurance money. Only the second time, it doesn’t go quite as planned and the cops led by DYSP Krishnadas (Indrajith Sukumaran) are on his tail as he flees from state to state, in this retelling of the life of one of India’s most wanted fugitives, Sukumara Kurup.

Marakkar: Arabikadalinte Simham

Mohammed Ali aka Kunjali Marakkar IV faces the wrath of the Portuguese in his formative years when they kill his kin and is forced to escape to North Kerala. But as Portuguese forces once again prepare to invade the kingdom, the Zamorins appoint him as their naval chief. The story chronicles his battles with the foreign fleet along with betrayals by those who had pledged their support to him.
