Dobaaraa OTT release date: When and where to watch Anurag Kashyap's Taapsee-starrer time travel flick online

Anurag Kashyap's Dobaaraa, which was released in movie halls more than a month ago, is ready for a digital premiere. The film hit the screens when #BoycottBollywood trend was at its peak. The Taapsee-starrer was one of the few Hindi movies which bore the brunt of the 'boycott gang'.

Upon release, the film had hit the headlines because of its below par box office numbers on day one, though many critics heaped praises on its direction, screenplay and performances. Billed as a time travel project, it is the official remake of Spanish movie Mirage which was released in 2018. 

The story of Dobaaraa revolves around a 12-year-old boy, who accidentally witnesses a murder at his neighbour's house. His life turns topsy-turvy, but little did he know that a doctor who belonged to the future would save him in a peculiar manner. How a series of twists and turns change their lives forms the rest of the story.

Pavail Gulati, Nasser, Rahul Bhat and Himanshi Choudhry play significant roles in the film which has cinematography by Sylvester Fonseca and editing by Aarti Bajaj. Nihit Bhave has penned the screenplay for the movie which has Taapsee showcasing one of her career best performances.

Dobaaraa will start streaming on Netflix from October 15. The OTT giant announced the news sometime ago with the post, "Watch @taapsee solve the mysteries of her past, present and future in this sci-fi thriller. Dobaaraa, streaming on Oct 15, only on #Netflix (sic)".

This is Taapsee's fourth movie to release this year after Looop Lapeta, Mishan Impossible and Shabaash Mithu. Interestingly, all the films are now streaming on Netflix. Looop Lapeta was the only movie among these to have had a direct OTT release.
