Doctor, which brought back Tamil audience back to movie halls post the second wave, has completed 25 days in theatres. The film is considered as Sivakarthikeyan's highest grossing movie in his career spanning almost a decade. KJR Studios, which bankrolled the crime comedy, took to their Twitter handle to announce that the film has collected 100 crores at the box office. 

Thus Siva, too, joined the list of K'town celebs who are part of the coveted 100 crore club. The tweet read, "25 days of this vera maari BLOCKBUSTER making you laugh, clap & cheer! We're happy to declare that #Doctor has officially grossed 100 Crores in Theatrical #DOCTORHits100Crs. This victory is yours as much as ours."    

Along with the tweet, they also posted a video, a compilation of movie goers celebrating the film in theatres. Doctor, which released in Tamil Nadu and a few other states and countries on October 9, hit the screens in Kerala on October 28. 

The movie, which was initially supposed to be a theatrical release on March 26 this year, was postponed due to the Assembly Elections in Tamil Nadu, which was slated in the first week of April. Later, there were speculation of the film premiering on Disney+ Hotstar, though the makers had squashed it as a rumour.

Directed by Nelson Dilipkumar, Doctor marked the Tamil debut of Tollywood actress Priyanka Arul Mohan. Yogi Babu, Vinay Rai, Redin Kingsley and Milind Soman among others played pivotal roles in the film which has music composed by Anirudh. The movie has its television premiere on November 4 at 6.30pm and an official announcement on its release on Netflix is expected soon
