But after an unfortunate incident, the pacifist has to take up the identity of the other and seek his revenge. Kodi is directed by RS Durai Senthilkumar.

Thiruchitrambalam

Cast: Dhanush, Nithya Menen, Prakash Raj

Thiruchitrambalam is a 2023 Tamil romantic drama directed by Mithran Jawahar. The film revolves around a dysfunctional family of three generations of men, who live under one roof. Dhanush plays the grandson and the titular character who is a food delivery person. As he searches for true love, he is aided by his best friend played by Nithya Menen. Thiruchitrambalam also stars Prakash Raj, Bharathiraja, Raashii Khanna, Priya Bhavani Shankar and others.

Velaiilla Pattadhari is 2014 action-comedy film written and directed by Velraj. Starring Dhanush in the lead role, the film follows an unemployed graduate who finally gets a job after facing many humiliations and obstacles. But he has to face new demons in form of corporates in his new job. Velaiilla Pattadhari also stars Amala Paul, Vivek, Saranya Ponvannan, and others.

Moonu

This 2012 romantic psychological film stars Dhanush and Shruti Haasan in the lead roles. The film chronicles the life of Ram and Janani, childhood sweethearts who get married and lead a happy life for a while. However, Ram is haunted by ghosts of the past, leading to bipolar disorder and changing the course of their lives. The film also stars Sivakarthikeyan, Prabhu, Sundar Ramu, Rohini and others.

Aadukalam

Director: Vetrimaaran

Aadukalam is directed by Vetrimaaran and set against the backdrop of Madurai and revolves around the politics of rooster fight, a competitive sport in the place. Dhanush won the National Film Award for Best Actor at the 58th National Film Awards for his performance in the film. Aadukalam also stars Taapsee Pannu, Kishore, and others. GV Prakash Kumar has scored the music.
