Actor and filmmaker Pradeep Ranganathan’s film Dragon is all set to hit theatres very soon. Slated for a February 21 release, the film is directed by Ashwath Marimuthu who earlier helmed the romantic fantasy drama Oh My Kadavule. After its theatrical release, Dragon will stream on a popular OTT giant.

Dragon is a 2025 Tamil film written and directed by Ashwath Marimuthu. Starring Pradeep Ranganathan in the lead role, the film also features KS Ravi Kumar, Gautham Vasudev Menon, Mysskin, Vj Siddhu, Harshath Khan, Anupama Parameshwaran, Kayadu Lohar, Mariam George, Indhumathy Manigandan, Thenappan and others.

Popular streaming platform Netflix has bagged the post-theatrical streaming rights of the film. It will begin streaming after Dragon finishes its theatrical run. Dragan is slated for release on February 21. An OTT release date is yet to be announced.

AGS Entertainment (P) Ltd banner is producing the film with Kalpathi S Aghoram, Kalpathi S Ganesh, and Kalpathi S Suresh as producers. Leon James is scoring the music and the cinematography is by Niketh Bommi. Pradeep E Ragav is the editor.

“The trailer might give you a youthful vibe, but it is actually a family drama. Dragon is not a college film and we have not revealed the story in the trailer cut. There is an interesting knot that comes in the interval, making it a family entertainer,” said Pradeep in conversation with OTTplay.

Meanwhile, you can stream Pradeep’s film Love Today which he directed and starred in. The film revolves around a young couple who are asked to exchange their phones by the girl’s father in order to give consent for their relationship. Actors Ivana, Sathyaraj, Yogi Babu, and others are part of the cast.

You can stream Love Today on Netflix. The film was recently remade in Hindi as Loveyapa, starring Khushi Kapoor and Junaid Khan. However, the Hindi version could not replicate the blockbuster success of Tamil.
