Dream Girl 2 box office collection day 3: Ayushmann Khurrana's comedy continues to show an upward trend on the first Sunday with Rs. 16 crore

Ayushmann Khurrana's Dream Girl 2 has been left short of creating the magic the first instalment did. However, even after the weak story, the fans couldn't stop raving about the lead actor and his exceptional performance. The Raaj Shaandilyaa directorial had a decent opening with Rs 10.69 crore , while now the total box office collection of the film's first weekend is about Rs 40.71 crore.

According to the latest report on Sacnilk.com, Dream Girl 2 had really great innings on Saturday and Sunday by minting Rs 14.02 crore and Rs 16.00 crore respectively. This has made the weekend box office collection of Dream Girl 2 Rs 40.71 crore.

Day 1 - Rs 10.69 crore

Day 2 - Rs 14.02 crore

Fans shared their honest opinion after the weekend watch. One of the Twitter users called the film a one-time watch and penned, "It seems the movie was shot in sequences and a cut call was called whenever an impromptu joke landed. Then giving all the credits to its editor, the film was stitched at its best to make it mindless laughable and a one time watch. #DreamGirl2Review (sic)."

Meanwhile, another cinephile praised some of the most talented actors in the film and wrote, "@ActorVijayRaaz kills with his performance. @annukapoor_ excellent acting and his stupendous comic timing was at its best. Every cast played their character so well. Just mind blowing #DreamGirl2Review (sic)."

Dream Girl 2, which also stars Ananya Panday and Paresh Rawal in pivotal roles with Anu Kapoor, Vijay Raaz, Rajpal Yadav and Asrani among others in key roles, is out in theatres now.
