Aishwarya Rajesh, who has had no theatrical release this year, is now gearing up for the release of Driver Jamuna, which is hitting the screens on December 30. The movie, helmed by P Kinslin, was supposed to be released in November, but the makers postponed their plans owing to reasons best known to them.
They have now unveiled a one-minute sneak peek from the film offering a glimpse into a crucial sequence. The actress plays a cab driver in the movie and how she handles a dangerous situation forms its plot.
The promo video unveiled by the team has her checking the cab boot to find that two passengers who entered the vehicle a while ago are carrying weapons. The shocked Aishwarya takes some time to come to the reality that she is in danger and starts thinking about her next move.
Though she meets one of her colleagues who stops by to convey something, she fails to communicate her issue to him. The video ends there, leaving movie buffs curious about the following scenes. Aadukalam Naren, Kavitha Bharathi and Abhishek Kumar among others play key roles in the project. Bigg Boss Tamil 6 fame Manikandan Rajesh, who also happens to be Aishwarya's brother, too, is essaying a notable character.
SP Chowthari has bankrolled Driver Jamuna under the banner of 18 Reels and Ghibran has composed music. Gokul Benoy and R Ramar have handled cinematography and editing respectively for the film which has action scenes choreographed by Anl Arasu.
Don Bala has helmed art direction while Kabilan is in charge of lyrics of songs in the movie. The makers had unveiled a song sometime ago.
