Aishwarya Rajesh's Driver Jamuna is a project which piqued curiosity among film lovers ever since it was announced. Its first look posters were released by AR Murugadoss a few months ago. Sivakarthikeyan and Sasikumar have unveiled its trailer now from their Twitter pages.

The two-minute video offers a glimpse into the basic plot of the movie which is billed as a road thriller. Its story revolves around a cab driver named Jamuna (Aishwarya) who faces unanticipated struggles after a few passengers in her vehicle start attacking her. It turns out that the real plan of the hooligans is to attack an influential politician.

What stands out in the trailer is Aishwarya's presence as the confident cab driver, a role which is quite new for an actress in Indian films, at least in recent times. Director P Kinslin of Vathikuchi fame has helmed the movie which has been bankrolled by SP Chowthari under the banner of 18 Reels.

Gokul Benoy and R Ramar have handled cinematography and editing respectively for Driver Jamuna which has music composed by Ghibran. Anl Arasu has choreographed action scenes for the film while Don Bala has monitored art direction.

Driver Jamuna is one among the few films Aishwarya currently has in her kitty. Last seen in Amazon Prime Video's web series Suzhal, The Great Indian Kitchen is another much-awaited film she is looking forward to.

The Malayalam, Kannada and Telugu versions of Driver Jamuna have been released by Unni Mukundan, Kishore and Suresh Productions respectively.

In a recent interaction with OTTplay, Aishwarya expressed her excitement as she awaits the release of the movie. She said, "I'm super excited to know what the audience has to say about the movie and my character. I don't think a film has been made on a female taxi driver in the last few years."
