2 much-awaited Dulquer Salmaan films to hit theatres this Onam 2025

It is a double delight for Dulquer Salmaan fans! Two of Dulquer Salmaan’s films are gearing up for release this Onam 2025. The first is Tamil film Kaantha, which is set to release in September this year. The other is Lokah Chapter One: Chandra, which he is producing. Let’s take a look at the two big releases of Dulquer Salmaan, that are sure to add to the Onam festivities this year.

Dulquer’s Kaantha to release in September

Dulquer Salmaan returns to the big screens later this year with Kaantha after the blockbuster hit Lucky Baskhar. The upcoming Tamil film, said to be a period drama revolving around a yesteryear star, will release in theatres in September. But an exact release date is yet to be announced. Filmmaker Selvamani Selvaraj is directing this film, which Dulquer is also backing. Telugu star Rana Daggubati is also a co-producer on the film, ensuring that the film has a buzz going on in all three south industries. Bhagyashree Borse will reportedly star opposite in Dulquer in Kaantha

Lokah Chapter One: Chandra too to hit theatres for Onam

Yet another film produced by Dulquer Salmaan’s Wayfarer Films. Lokah Chapter One: Chandra stars Malayalam’s young star Naslen and Kalyani Priyadarshan in lead roles. Reports say that Dulquer will also appear in a cameo in the film, which is helmed by Dominic Arun. Actress Santhy Balachandran has penned this film, which has already sparked excitement after the first-look poster was released. The film is touted to be the first part of a cinematic universe.

Dulquer Salmaan’s other upcoming films

Apart from these two, Dulquer also has a Telugu film Aakasam Lo Oka Tara set to release this year, probably in December. The film, which appears to have a rural backdrop, is penned and helmed by Pavan Sadineni.
