Dulquer Salmaan’s DQ 40: THIS production banner to make Malayalam debut with the project?

Dulquer Salmaan is on a high with the massive success of his recent outing, Lucky Baskhar. After a short gap, the actor-producer is set to make his comeback to the Malayalam film industry, with two back-to-back outings. In a recent media interaction, Dulquer Salmaan revealed that he is teaming up with RDX fame director Nahas Hidayath for a project, in 2025. Reportedly, the prestigious Telugu production banner Vyjayanthi Movies is stepping into Malayalam cinema, with the film.

If the recent updates are to be believed, Dulquer Salmaan’s 40th project, which is expected to be directed by Nahas Hidayath, is a fantasy action film made on a massive budget. Reportedly, the untitled project will be bankrolled by the actor-producer's home banner, in association with the prestigious Telugu production house, Vyjayanthi Movies. The legendary production banner, which previously teamed up with Dulquer Salmaan for iconic films Mahanati and Sita Ramam, and the recent blockbuster Kalki 2898 AD, will make its Malayalam cinema debut with the project.

Dulquer Salmaan, Nahas Hidayath’s upcoming project

As per the latest updates, the upcoming project, which is touted to be an action drama, set in a fantasy backdrop, features Dulquer Salmaan as the central character. SJ Suryah, the popular actor-filmmaker is all set to make his Malayalam debut with the film. The Maanaadu actor is reportedly set to play the lead antagonist in the film. The untitled project will also feature young actor Antony Varghese Pepe, in a pivotal role.

As reported earlier, Dulquer Salmaan is currently busy with the filming of Kaantha, the upcoming Selvamani Selvaraj directorial. The Tamil-Telugu bilingual, which is touted to be a period musical drama set in the 1950s, reportedly features the popular actor in the role of the legendary real-life superstar, Thyagaraja Bhagavathar.
