Kaantha joins the November 2025 race
The period drama was originally scheduled to hit the screens on September 12, 2025, but it was postponed at the last minute due to a delay in post-production formalities. Also, Dulquer wanted to give yet another production of his, Lokah, a solo release.
Well, on the auspicious occasion of Diwali, the makers have revealed that Kaantha will hit the screens on November 14, 2024. Directed by Selvamani Selvaraj, Kaantha is produced by Dulquer Salmaan and Rana Daggubati and a chunk of the budget has been spent on the set work of the film as it is set in a bygone era.
Bhagyashree Borse, who sizzled in Kingdom and Mr. Bachchan, plays the female lead in Kaantha and has an endearing role, as per sources. The makers also released a poster to announce the release date, and it has a dramatic feel with intense expressions from the main leads.
Versatile actor Samuthirakani takes on Dulquer Salmaan in this film, which is about two actors from the 1950s and their ego issues. Jhanu Chanthar scores the music, while Dani Sanchez-Lopez handles the cinematography.
