Eagle, the highly anticipated project that stars popular Telugu star Ravi Teja in the titular role, has finally hit theatres today (February 9, 2024). The project, which marks cinematographer-director Karthik Gattamaneni’s second outing as a filmmaker, has been receiving positive reviews from audiences since its first show. Interestingly, the makers of the mass action thriller have confirmed that Eagle will soon get a sequel at the tail end of the film.
The cine-goers, who watched the FDFS of Ravi Teja’s Eagle, took to their X (formerly Twitter) handles and revealed that the movie is getting a sequel. Interestingly, the makers of the Karthik Gattamaneni directorial dropped a major hint about the second installment of the franchise at the end of the film. The highly anticipated second part of the action thriller has been titled Eagle 2: Yuddha Kaanda.
However, nothing much has been revealed about the production, star cast, technical crew, or release of the highly anticipated Ravi Teja starrer. But the Telugu star’s fans and cine-goers are highly excited for Eagle 2, which is expected to feature the leading man as the titular character once again. Along with the actor, the other main cast members of the film are also expected to reprise their respective roles in the sequel. More updates on the much-awaited second part are expected to be revealed very soon.
For the uninitiated, Ravi Teja appeared as the titular character, Eagle, aka Sahadev Varma, a professional snipper in the action thriller. The project marked the second directorial outing of Karthik Gattamaneni, after the 2015-released film Surya vs Surya. The project was written by the filmmaker himself, along with Manibabu Karanam. Director Karthik himself handled the cinematography and editing of the film.
Anupama Parameshwaran appeared as the female lead in Eagle, which features a stellar star cast including Kavya Thapar, Navdeep, Madhoo, Srinivas Avasarala, Vinay Rai, Srinivas Reddy, Ajay Ghosh, and others in the key roles. Davzand composed the songs and the original score for the project. Eagle is bankrolled by the banner People Media Factory.
