Eegai: Prominent Kollywood celebs come together to unveil the first look poster of Anjali's 50th film

It was announced a few days ago that the first look and title of Anjali's 50th project will be unveiled today evening. Many filmmakers and actors have come forward to unveil the same through their social media handles. Vijay Sethupathi, Venkat Prabhu, Aishwarya Rajesh, Sasikumar and Mithran R Jawahar among others are a few who did the honours. 

Ashok Velayutham has directed the movie which has been titled as Eegai. Billed as a thriller flick, it has been bankrolled by Thangaraj Lakshminarayanan and J Dinakar. Pugazh, Abi Nakshatra, Kashyap Barbhaya and Nishanth Raghu among others play key roles in the project.

The first look poster has Anjali staring at something amid many umbrellas that surrounds her on a rainy day. The actress stands out in the poster with a red dupatta covering her head. Sridhar G has cranked the camera for the film which has music composed by Dharan Kumar.

Praveen KL has handled editing and Ramalingam has helmed art direction for Eegai. The movie has dialogues penned by Bharathan while Ganesh has composed action choreography. The poster of the project comes along with the tag 'you can commit injustice by doing nothing'.      

Anjali's last outing in Tamil was the series Fall which dropped on Disney+ Hotstar a few months ago. Love Panna Uttranum, a segment helmed by Vignesh Shivan for Netflix's anthology Paava Kadhaigal in 2020 was her Tamil project before this. 

Naadodigal 2, released in 2020, was her last theatrical outing in Kollywood. Eegai is likely to be her first theatrical release in Tamil in the post-pandemic era. The makers are expected to announce its release date soon.
