Eko: Sandeep Pradeep-starrer to clash with Prithviraj Sukumaran's Vilayath Buddha

The makers of the upcoming Malayalam film, Eko, have confirmed that it would have a theatrical release soon. The movie, which stars Falimy-fame Sandeep Pradeep in the lead role, will hit the big screen on November 21.

The film, which marks the sophomore directorial of Kishkindha Kaandam's maker Dinjith Ayyathan, will release in theatres along with Prithviraj Sukumaran's highly anticipated action thriller, Vilayath Buddha. On the same day, no other Malayalam film will have its big-screen debut. The main protagonists and the interesting genre of the film were revealed in a recent teaser for Eko. 

The Malayalam voiceover in the teaser describes times of history when people regularly sailed to Malaysia and Singapore for various purposes. In the Kattukunnu hills, we catch a glimpse of Sandeep Pradeep and Vineeth talking about Malaysian breed canines. Another person also discusses providing dogs to India's police and military. Sandeep's character appears to be frantically looking for something or someone, since these sequences are intercut with images of canines and cops. Bases on its teaser, Eko would investigate the mystery of Kattukunnu Woods, its connections to dogs, and Sandeep Pradeep's role in all of this. Considering the impressive cast and crew, moviegoers have high hopes for this film in theatres.

Additionally, this is writer Bahul Ramesh's third attempt at a movie in which animals play an important role in the story. His second series, Kerala Crime Files Season 2, had a connection to dogs, while his first one, Kishkindha Kaandam, was set in a forest with monkeys. Ashokan, Binu Pappu, Narain, and Vineeth. Other cast members include Biana Momin, Sim Zhi Fei, NG Hung Shen, Ranjith Shekhar, and Saheer Muhammad. Bahul Ramesh has served as the DOP in addition to writing the dialogue, screenplay, and narrative. The soundtrack for this project was composed by Mujeeb Majeed.
