Vetri Duraisamy's Endraavathu Oru Naal, which bagged several honours in national and international film festivals, is all set for a direct-to-OTT release. The movie, which is set against the backdrop of a few people living in rural area, has Vidharth and Ramya Nambeesan playing lead roles.
Illavasaru, Master Raghavan and Diana Vishalini also essay important roles in the movie, the trailer of which, was released a couple of weeks ago. The movie also had a television premiere on Zee Tamil on October 3. According to the makers, the film bagged 43 awards for Best Director, Best Feature Film and Best Actress categories.
What's the film all about?
Endraavathu Oru Naal has Vidharth and Ramya, who will be seen as a couple in it, play farmers who struggle to meet the two ends of life. Their situation becomes even worse when the village they reside in faces acute shortage of water. At one point, they decide to sell off their cows with no other option to lead life. How the livestock farmers fight against the several odds forms the crux of the story. The makers have released Maattu Mani Saththam and Kanne En Kanne, the first and second single respectively from the movie, recently.
When and where will the film release?
The movie will have a premiere on Zee5 on October 8. N Shanmuga Sundaram has cranked the camera for the project which has NR Raghunanthan scoring music and Mu Kasi Viswanathan handling editing. Director Vetrimaaran had unveiled the first look of the film almost an year ago. Interestingly, Raame Aandalum Raavane Aandalum, which had a premiere recently on Amazon Prime Video, also centered around a farmer couple whose lives revolved around their bulls.
