Over the years, Malayalam filmmakers have been able to depict dysfunctional families in a variety of genres. While films such as Sandesham depicted family members trying to mend their relationships within their house by accepting one's flaws or correcting them, movies like Irakal, Bhoothakaalam, and Appan showed the grey shade of being a part of these families.

George Kora's recent film Tholvi F.C. is one of the few that humorously depicts the tale of a dysfunctional family, who come to understand one another through their struggles over time.

If you enjoyed watching this George Kora film, starring Sharaf U Dheen, here is a list of other Malayalam movies that portrayed such families in a light-hearted manner.
