Anupamaa actress Rupali Ganguly and her stepdaughter Esha Verma's feud is far from getting over. It all started with Esha's old post against Rupali resurfacing on social media. The TV actress filed a defamation case against Esha. Cut to now, Esha posted an Instagram story where she called Rupali an 'evil step lady'. She slammed the television actress for scheduling the next court hearing on her birthday.

Esha Verma took to her Instagram stories and publically slammed her stepmom, Rupali Ganguly. Esha is Ashwin Verma's daughter from his previous marriage with Sapna. Expressing disappointment over Rupali's actions, the young girl penned, "ty to the evil step lady for scheduling the next court date on my bday muah:* So generous, oh & hi thanks for monitoring me & violating social media policies for the last 4 months (sic)." After her story went viral online, Esha issued a clarification note on her social media account. Verma clarified that she intended to share her thoughts with a close friend, however, it accidentally went to her IG story.
"I was just typing out my feelings before bed and had meant to send it to a close friend, but it accidentally went to my story. I wasn’t trying to start anything or make this public—it was just me processing my emotions at the moment (sic)," she wrote. Esha also mentioned that she uses her social media handles to connect with her friends and share her thoughts.
She went on to mention that seeing the next court date fall on her birthday was 'overwhelming' to her. "I was simply expressing my frustration (sic)," mentioned Esha.
Rupali Ganguly's work front
Meanwhile, on the work front, Rupali is seen in Rajan Shahi's show, Anupamaa. The actress has been playing the lead role for nearly five years now. Her TV show airs on StarPlus and streams on Disney+ Hotstar.
