M.G. Srinivas and Co. are cooking up something very special in the form of their upcoming film Ghost. The film boasts a super exciting star cast that will be led by the Century Star Shiva Rajkumar and joining him in this 'heist' are the very talented and renowned actors Anupam Kher and Jayaram. Archana Jois, the KGF 2 actor, plays a crucial role and so does the very talented Hindi actor Prashanth Narayanan, and although the film's release is many months away, one can already sense the excitement in the air.
And to top things off, M.G. Srinivas and his team are trying to bring Tamil superstar Vijay Sethupathi on board and should that happen, the Farzi actor will play a big role in the second instalment of Ghost.
Regardless, the makers of Ghost are striving hard to put something enterprising on the big screen and technology, as it turns out, plays a huge part in their pursuits. Earlier today, on the special occasion of Dr. Rajkumar's 94th birth anniversary, Srini shared a special tribute video that features the legendary matinee idol in all his glory as he enacts an important scene alongside Anupam Kher. Yes, you heard that right!
Thanks to the slick application of AI technology, team Ghost was able to digitally replace Shiva Rajkumar's face with that of Annavru's in a small snippet from the upcoming film. The result is uncanny and extremely pleasing and those who got the chance to watch it have been showering praise on Srini and the team for the pleasant surprise.
Many of the fans even urged them to employ the same technique and render a scene involving Puneeth Rajkumar. Not a bad idea, after all!
As far as the employment of technology in Ghost is concerned, M.G. Srinivas shared exclusively with OTTplay that Shiva Rajkumar would undergo the revolutionary digital de-ageing process for the film. The same process has already been used to a stellar effect in films like The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, Gemini Man, The Irish Man and India's own Laal Singh Chaddha.
