It was announced a day ago that Vishal's next project, to be directed by Adhik Ravichandran, will be a pan Indian film to be made on a big scale. In an exclusive chat with OTTplay, the director has spilled the beans about the untitled project, the test shoot of which, was done recently.

Adhik says, "The movie will be a full-fledged action entertainer; it will have high octane stunt scenes. With someone like Vishal headlining the project, it is natural that movie buffs will expect impressive action sequences in it. We are currently scouting locations for the movie."

According to him, a few crucial portions of the film will be shot in a studio. "The story is such that some of the important episodes happen in and around one location. So, we will be shooting all those portions in a studio. We felt the movie's story has a universal appeal, and hence, decided to make it as a pan Indian project," he informs.

However, Adhik says that it is too early to divulge if the film will be shot simultaneously in multiple languages or shot only in Tamil and dubbed in other languages. The movie, he believes, will be the biggest project in Vishal's career. Vinod Kumar, who has produced the actor's last outing, Enemy, is bankrolling the project.

Adhik currently has two films, Bagheera and Kadhalai Thedi Nithya Nandha, in his kitty. While the former, he says, will have a theatrical release in early 2022, the latter has a few more portions to complete.

Bagheera has Prabhu Deva playing the protagonist while Kadhalai Thedi Nithya Nandha has GV Prakash teaming up again with him after his debut directorial movie Trisha Illana Nayanthara (streaming on Amazon Prime Video).

The young filmmaker had also donned the greasepaint for Nerkonda Paarvai (streaming on Zee5) and K-13 (streaming on MX Player). Does he have plans to take acting career seriously? "Not really, at least not for the time being. I was on the lookout for roles, but then, when I landed up the current pan Indian project, I felt acting can take a backseat. I want to give my best for the movie. I'm ensuring that the film is different from my previous outings every which way," he signs off.
