Only a week is remaining for the theatrical release of Love, Sex aur Dhokha 2, an adult-only film that caters primarily to the youth. Recently, we had a quick chat with the filmmaker who discussed with us why he decided to create LSD 2, while feeling the pain of Netflix dumping his original film Tees.

When questioned about his decision to create Love, Sex Aur Dhokha 2, a film inspired by the 2010 movie Love, Sex Aur Dhokha, the eminent filmmaker promptly replied, "Ekta Kapoor."
Seconds later, Dibakar elaborated what he meant to say and added, “The creation of the film started because of Ekta (Kapoor). She only called me up and said let’s make LSD 2. I said yes. I told her that more than a decade had passed (since the first film was released) and certainly the world changed. And certainly, it was time for me to make the new film.”
“But I was caught up in my Netflix original Tees at the time (when Ekta had called). She, nevertheless, kept on reminding me about LSD 2. Then ... (feels sad) ... when Netflix decided to not release my film because the streamer thought it was ‘not the right time’, that’s when things went haywire. I told Ekta about what happened with Tees. Ekta then again asked me whether I wanted to make LSD 2 or not. I said I have to do it now. I felt like I was buried underground. I wanted to come out and scream like a raging monster. She said, be my guest. And that’s how LSD 2 happened,” said the filmmaker.
