The success of Ranbir Kapoor's Animal has made director Sandeep Reddy Vanga the most talked-about director in the country. His next film is with Prabhas and has been titled Spirit. Sandeep is all set to start working on the script for Spirit, a cop drama.

We at OTTplay have exclusively learned that Sandeep Reddy Vanga will meet Prabhas post-Sankranthi festival in the second week of January 2024 and narrate the rough cut of Spirit to him. Taking Prabhas' suggestions, Sandeep will pen the screenplay and also wrap up the script in detail.

One of the sources close to Sandeep says that the director is ready with the basic storyline of Spirit and plans to take the film on floors in October 2024. In one of his interviews, Sandeep says that the action in Spirit will be quite realistic and will please the fans big time. Prabhas will be seen as a cop for the first time in his career and there is so much buzz for this film.

T-Series, in association with Bhadrakali Pictures, will bankroll Spirit on a budget of Rs 300 crore. Some popular names from Telugu cinema are going to be a part of this film, as per the news. Sandeep Reddy Vanga has shifted his base to Hyderabad and will operate Spirit from the city. The source further adds that Spirit will be high on suspense and have powerful dialogues.

On the other hand, Prabhas has finally breathed a sigh of relief as his new film Salaar got a great opening in Telugu. The occupancy is growing with each passing show and the Prashanth Neel film is all set to make record numbers on day one.

Salaar had a threat from SRK's Dunki in a few areas of Telugu states but as the Rajkumar Hirani film opened to a dull word of mouth, things have gone in the favour of Salaar. The tickets for the Telugu version are sold out in most areas of its release.
