Mohit Suri is one of the most talented directors in the film industry. After the blockbuster success of Saiyaara, several reports claimed that Suri would collaborate with Ranbir Kapoor. But now the director has dismissed these rumours in a statement to Variety India.
Dismissing the earlier reports, Mohit Suri told the portal, "Ranbir Kapoor is not in my next film. I genuinely want to work with him and I hope he feels the same way about me. I went to meet him to discuss and intend to work together. Meanwhile, it’s been in news that we are already doing a film together."
Mohit also said that Ranbir had known him for a long time and had been following his career since the beginning. He added that Ranbir was one of the few actors and a major star who appreciated a film like Awaarapan even though it had flopped upon release. The filmmaker mentioned that Ranveer often told him that it was one of his best films. He added that most actors usually praise a director's highest-grossing film, but Ranveer praised even one of his less successful films.

“I think he has the depth and layered nuances that my kind of films need. But no, there is no Ranbir Kapoor in my film, at the moment. I wish there was,” Suri further revealed.
Ranbir Kapoor is currently working on Nitesh Tiwari's eagerly awaited two-part mythological saga Ramayana, in which he portrays Lord Ram. He is also slated to appear in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Love & War alongside Alia Bhatt and Vicky Kaushal, as well as the sequel to Animal Park, following the huge success of the original Animal.
