However, it has come to light that this encounter did not occur. The photo was revealed to be a product of digital manipulation, and the fake image was shared by a fan account.

What was special about Deepika Padukone’s presence at the BAFTA?

This wasn't Deepika Padukone's first international awards appearance. In the previous year's Academy Awards, she delivered a live performance of ‘Naatu Naatu,’ the popular Telugu song from ‘RRR’, which went on to win the Best Original Song at the Oscars.
