Vijay Deverakonda is shown as a middle-class corporate employee who goes to any length for his family and looks impressive in his role. How a middle-class working man faces issues after a rich girl played by Mrunal Thakur enters his life is the basic story of the film.
Parasuram Petla, the director, has used a few fun dialogues from Vijay Deverakonda's Geetha Govindam in Family Star in one of the scenes, where the hero is shown to be frustrated, and this evokes nostalgia, bringing back the fever of Vijay and Rashmika's romance yet again.

Mrunal Thakur looks beautiful in the promo and her chemistry with Vijay Deverakonda is superb. Rohini Hattangidi, Vasuki, and Jagapathi Babu are seen in supporting roles and they are okay. By the looks of it, Family Star has a routine and predictable premise but the way it is treated by Parasuram looks novel and quite entertaining.
As the holiday season is on, the family audience will surely love this film as Family Star has enough emotional moments between husband and wife, and other family members. Devendra Suttooru, the popular Kannada actor, is seen as the main villain in this film and brings depth to the narrative.

Parasuram is known to have simple conflict points in his films and the same is the case with Family Star. The romantic drama is laced with a divide between the rich and poor and is showcased funnily. Fans of Vijay Deverakonda will love the film as it has been quite some time since they saw him in such a lovable family man's role.
With tongue-in-cheek humor, Vijay Deverakonda's new look, and Mrunal Thakur's elegant screen presence, Family Star has it all. Dil Raju is the producer and his production values, star cast, and music by Gopi Sundar are an added addition to Family Star. He has put big money into the film and we need to see how the film performs at the box office.
