The hype surrounding Jailer witnessed a massive spike after the likes of Mohanlal, Shivarajkumar, Jackie Shroff, Sunil and Tamannaah were roped in to play crucial roles in the Rajinikanth-starrer recently. The Nelson Dilipkumar directorial is being bankrolled by Sun Pictures.
The shooting of the movie has been happening in Rajasthan for quite some time and photos and videos of Rajini arriving at Chennai airport did the rounds recently. Interestingly, Mohanlal, who has also been busy with his Mollywood project Malaikottai Valiban in the north Indian state, was said to have joined the Tamil film.
Fans of the superstars are now thrilled after a picture of them posing for a photo has been released on social media. Their mutual admirers say they can't wait to watch their matinee idols on the big screen and have started guessing about their characters in the action drama.
Though many stories are doing the rounds with regard to Jailer's plot, one has to wait till makers unveil its trailer. The film's release is likely to be in August or for Deepavali, according to a trusted source. The possibility of the movie clashing with Kamal Haasan's Indian 2 is also heard, but all these remain speculations until an official update has been made.
Anirudh Ravichander is composing music for the project which has Stun Siva choreographing action scenes. Ramya Krishnan, Vinayagan, Yogi Babu and Vasanth Ravi are others who will be seen essaying significant roles in the movie.
Jailer is Rajinikanth's 169th film; an update on his next project is expected soon. The star is playing a cameo in his daughter Aishwarya's directorial venture, Lalsalam, a sports drama which might hit the screens this year.
