Fight Club on OTT - Where to stream the Vijay Kumar-starring action film after its theatrical run

Fight Club, the much-awaited project that stars ‘Uriyadi’ fame Vijay Kumar in the lead role, has hit the theatres today (December 15, 2023). The action thriller, which is set in the backdrop of North Chennai, is helmed by Abbas A Rahmath. For the uninitiated, the project marks the maiden production venture of Lokesh Kanagaraj, the celebrated Tamil filmmaker. Recently, the sources close to the project dropped a major update on its OTT release platform.

Fight Club to stream on Disney+ Hotstar

As per the recent updates, the leading OTT platform Disney+ Hotstar has bagged the post-theatrical streaming rights of Fight Club. Just like most of the post-Covid Tamil films, the Vijay Kumar starrer is expected to be available for streaming on the famous platform, exactly a month after its theatrical release. In that case, we can expect the OTT release of the Abbas A Rahmath directorial by the second or third week of January 2024. The makers of Fight Club are expected to officially announce the OTT release date and platform of the movie in a couple of weeks.

All about Fight Club

For the uninitiated, Fight Club, which marks ‘Uriyadi’ Vijay Kumar’s third outing as an actor. The actor-director, who helmed both the installments of his debut movie franchise, has also co-written the movie. The project also marks the directorial debut of Abbas A Rahmath, an assistant director of Vijay Kumar in Uriyadi. Fight Club started rolling in 2021 and is bankrolled by Reel Good Films, a brand-new production banner.

However, the project was recently taken over by director Lokesh Kanagaraj, who is set to present it under his recently launched production banner, G Squad. Monisha Mohan Menen is playing the female lead opposite Vijay Kumar in Fight Club. The project also features Kartheekeyan Santhanam, Avinash Raghudevan, Shankar Thas, and Saravana Vel in the supporting roles. Govind Vasantha has composed the songs and original score. Leon Britto is the director of photography. Kripakaran P has handled the editing.
