Fighter, starring Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone, is presently playing well in theaters. The movie, which debuted on January 25, 2024, has already brought in more than Rs 300 crore globally. Hrithik and Deepika portray pilots in the Indian Air Force in the movie. Wing Commander Saumya Deep Das, an Indian Air Force officer, has now served the Fighter team with a legal notice.
According to recent reports in India Today, an Assamese Air Force officer appears to have taken offense for a kissing scene involving Patty and Mini. The officer, Saumya Deep Das, feels that the scenario of the uniformed kissing is insensitive to the IAF.
The Indian Air Force official went on to say that it is disrespectful to the honor and sanctity of the uniform to depict the kissing sequence between Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone, particularly when it is done in the setting of military gear. She has therefore issued a legal notice to the makers of Fighter.
Mentioning the scene, a part of the notice reads, ''Kissing in uniform, on a runway which comes under the purview of a technical area, while portrayed as romantic, is considered grossly inappropriate and unbecoming of an IAF officer, as it contradicts the high standards of discipline and decorum expected from them.''
Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone lead an amazing ensemble cast in Siddharth Anand's film, which gets even better by their roles of Anil Kapoor (as Group Captain Rakesh Jai Singh aka Rocky) and Karan Singh Grover (as Sartaj "Taj" Gill). In the Air Dragons unit, Deepika plays Squadron Leader Minal Rathore, also referred to as Minni, while Hrithik plays Squadron Leader Shamsher Pathania, sometimes referred to as Patty.
It's the first time Hrithik and Deepika have ever worked together on screen. The movie has surpassed the ₹300 milestone worldwide and joined the ₹150 crore club in India.
