FIR release date: When and where overseas movie lovers could stream watch this Vishnu Vishal-starrer

FIR, starring Vishnu Vishal in the lead, had a theatrical release a month ago, on February 11. The movie, which had Raiza Wilson, Reba Monica John, Parvathy, Gautham Menon and Manjima Mohan among others, opened to decent reviews from critics and the audience alike.

Vishnu had announced recently that an announcement on the movie's OTT release details will be made soon. It is heard that the project will drop on Amazon Prime Video soon, though movie lovers are curious about its date. However, Simply South, the streaming site for south movies for overseas audiences, has announced that the film will be dropping on the platform from March 12.

Their tweet read, "Terrorism Has No Nationality Or Religion. #VishnuVishal's Sensational Crime Thriller #FIR (2022) streaming from 12th March on Simply South (sic)." The movie's story revolves around a jobless youngster who gets arrested for allegedly planning terrorist attacks in a few cities in India.  

How he proves his innocence despite powerful organizations coming up with evidence against him forms the rest of the story. Arul Vincent and Prasanna GK have handled cinematography and editing respectively for the project which has music composed by Ashwath.

 The movie, which went on floors in 2019, had its teaser unveiled in 2020. The makers' plan was to release the film in 2020, but COVID played spoilsport. A day before the release of FIR, the governments of Malaysia, Qatar and Kuwait issued a ban on the project owing to its sensitive content.

Produced by Vishnu himself under Vishnu Vishal Studioz, the project was distributed by Udhayanidhi's Red Giant Movies. Tollywood actor Ravi Teja presented the movie in Telugu under the same title. FIR was Vishnu's release after almost a year.
