Vishnu Vishal's next, FIR, is set to hit the screens on February 11. As announced earlier, the makers have unveiled its trailer through the social media handles of Prithviraj and Nani. The former released the Tamil trailer, while the latter released its Telugu version. Both the versions are releasing simultaneously with the same title.
The two-minute trailer has Gautham Menon, an investigative officer, along with his team going behind Abu Bakkar Abdullah, a most wanted terrorist. But they end up nabbing Irfan Ahmed, an innocent guy, played by Vishnu Vishal. The film revolves around the intriguing set of incidents after a framed terrorist fights back against the flawed system.
Manjima Mohan, Raiza Wilzon and Reba Monica John are also seen in the trailer, with each of them playing contrasting characters in it. Gaurav Narayanan will also be seen essaying the role of a dedicated investigative officer. The trailer ends with impressive fight sequences choreographed by Stunt Silva.
Arul Vincent has handled cinematography for the movie which has music composed by Ashwath. Indulal Kaveed and Prasanna GK are in charge of the film's art direction and editing respectively. Divyanka and Anand Shankar have also written the screenplay for FIR, along with director Manu Anand.
The makers had recently released a song from the movie which stressed on the need to maintain religious harmony in the society. Venkat Prabhu's Silambarasan-starrer Maanaadu (streaming on SonyLIV), which released two months ago, also dealt with the story revolving an innocent guy being framed as a terrorist by the system.
Prabhu Solomon's Kaadan (streaming on Zee5) was Vishnu Vishal's previous outing. FIR has been bankrolled by the actor under his production house Vishnu Vishal Studioz. Udhayanidhi Stalin's Red Giant Movies is presenting the movie in Tamil Nadu.
