First poster of Saiju Kurup’s Porattu Nadakam suggests a laugh riot; here’s all about this family entertainer

The first look of Saiju Kurup’s Porattu Nadakam has been released on social media platforms. The film is being directed by Naushad Saffron and is named after a well-known folk art form in Palakkad. The main actors in this film are Dharmajan Bolgatty, Ramesh Pisharody, Rahul Madhav, Nirmal Palazhy, and Arjun Vijayan.

The poster of the film was released by Manju Warrier on their social media page. In the movie, Saiju Kurup plays the main character. Porattu Nadakam was filmed in Kanhangad and Nileswaram over the course of a single 30-day schedule. Rahul Raj has composed the songs, and the camera work is handled by Noushad Shereef. Gayathri Vijayan is the co-producer of the movie.

Among the supporting cast members are Aiswarya Mithu, Sooraj Thelakkad, Sunil Sukhada, and Chitra Shenoy. The screenplay for this movie is being written by Suneesh Varanad, who penned the scripts for Jayasurya's Eesho and Manju Warrier's Mohanlal. In addition to Porattu Nadakam, this film features Kothammuriyattom, another folk art form.

Porattu Nadakam is based on a sequence of events that take place over the course of 21 days in the northern Keralan village of Gopalapuram. According to the makers, the majority of the film's elements are satirical. Additionally, they have not disclosed the date of the film's big-screen release or the specifics of its OTT release following its theatrical run.

The teaser of the film was released on October 2. It showed a man protesting in front of a cooperative bank while an ambulance is parked close by. He keeps saying that he has no political affiliations while accusing the bank of exploitation. The teaser suggests an investigation into the bank's alleged scam.

Saiju’s upcoming projects

Saiju Kurup’s recent two films, Rajni and A Ranjith Cinema, released on December 8. His other works in 2023 include Enkilum Chandrike, Madhura Manohara Moham, and Pappachan Olivilanu. He will be seen playing a prominent role in Pallotti, which is expected in 2024.
