The second poster of Girish AD’s upcoming new-age romantic comedy Premalu was released on the eve of Christmas. Dileesh Pothan, Fahadh Faasil, and Syam Pushkaran are producing the film under the banner of Bhavana Studios. Vishnu Vijay, known for his work in Guppy and Thallumaala, has composed the music for the songs, penned by Suhail Koya.
Naslen and Mamitha Baiju are playing the lead roles in this film, which is set in Hyderabad. Mohan, Akhila Bhargavan, Sangeeth Prathap, Althaf Salim, and Meenakshi Raveendran are among the supporting cast. The poster hints at a fun-packed entertainer.
Girish AD and Kiran Josey have written the screenplay for the movie, which is set to release in February. However, the makers have not revealed the exact date of the theatrical release. The camera work has been handled by Ajmal Sabu, while Akash Joseph has done the editing. Dhanya Balakrishnan is the costume designer. The film will be distributed by Bhavana Release.
Girish AD’s I Am Kathalan
Girish AD is renowned for his light-hearted exploration of modern relationships in his works Archana 31 Not Out, Super Sharanya, and Thanneer Mathan Dinangal. He is also the director of the upcoming movie, I Am Kathalan. The film, which is being produced by Dr Paul Vargheese and Krishnamoorthy, stars Naslen in the lead role. The movie is being distributed by Dream Big Films. The first look of the movie shows Naslen’s character with the tagline, “On the Internet, nobody knows you’re a dog" (The New Yorker, July 5, 1993). The film will also have Dileesh Pothan, Vineeth Vasudevan, and Lijomol in prominent roles.

The duo had acted in Girish AD’s second directorial, Super Sharanya, which is streaming on Zee 5. Mamitha, who was recently seen in Pranaya Vilasam and Ramachandra Boss & Co, is playing the female lead in GV Prakash’s Rebel in Tamil.
Naslen appeared in a number of films in 2023, including Ayalvaashi, Pachuvum Athbutha Vilakkum, Valatty, Journey of Love 18+, and Neymar. These two films of Girish are the actor’s works lined up for 2024.
