The socio-political satire Yennanga Sir Unga Sattam impressed movie buffs with its first trailer which was unveiled a while ago. As the film is all set for a premiere on SonyLIV in a few hours' time, its makers have now come up with a second trailer and sneak peek. The sneak peek showcases a care-free youngster who is aimless in life.
He decides to become a filmmaker and starts writing a script for a movie which touches upon the struggles of farmers and ruthless practices of corporate companies. Though he is unaware of how corporate firms function, he decides to join the list of filmmakers who make corporate-bashing movies to earn name as a responsible director in the society.
Later, he seeks opinion on his idea to make a film on farmers' struggles to a few of his friends and each of them come up with different opinions. He eventually drops the idea after he becomes upset about at least three or four corporate-bashing films releasing every week.
The trailer touches upon the lives of three youngsters belonging to different classes; each of them are named as FC, BC and SC, known as frustrated candidate, bold Casanova and system changer respectively. One of the scenes in the trailer features a middle-aged casteist priest unapologetically displaying his regressive attitude to a youngster. Another sequence has an upper caste youngster, who hails from a poor family background, denied a job because of his caste.
The trailer takes a dig at the prevailing casteism in Chennai and ends with the dialogue jaathi patru thappu illai sir, jaathi veri dhan thappu (love for one's caste isn't bad, but being a caste fanatic is wrong). Directed by Prabhu Jeyaram, the movie stars RS Karthiik, Ayraa, Soundarya Bala Nandakumar, Rohini, Bhagavati Perumal, Saidhanyaa and Subha among others playing key roles.
