Friendship trailer: Harbhajan Singh, Arjun and Losliya play significant roles in this suspense thriller

The much-expected trailer of John Paul Raj and Sham Surya's Friendship, which has Harbhajan Singh playing the lead role, has been released by Arya and Venkat Pabhu. The movie, which has Arjun and Sathish essaying pivotal roles, marks the debut of Bigg Boss Tamil 3 fame Losliya Mariyanesan. MS Bhaskar and Badava Gopi are also seen as lawyer and professor respectively in the two-minute trailer. 

Inspired by Malayalam film Queen, the movie's trailer begins with Harbhajan entering a college hostel when seniors are seen ragging their juniors. The cricketer is introduced as 'Turbanator as the king of campus' in the trailer which gives a glimpse into the movie's story. He plays an engineering student in the film who chooses mechanical department assuming that there won't be any girls in his class.  

The film's story revolves around the murder of a girl, which is followed by an investigation in the college campus. The trailer also mentions Tamil Nadu DGP Sylendra Babu's encounter killing which happened a decade ago in Coimbatore, and the difference in the upbringing of male and female child in our society. Towards the end of the trailer, Harbhajan's character says, "There are two things which I had to sacrifice in life - my love and sports," followed by a shot of him playing cricket, hinting that there is likely to be a flashback involving cricket portions.

Looks like Arjun is playing a vigilante in the movie, reminding of a few roles he has essayed in his career. The makers had earlier said that there are lot of suspense-filled elements in the actor's character. Interestingly, Harbhajan and Arjun will be seen in the movie Dikkiloona and reality show Survivor respectively, both to be streamed on Zee5 soon.
