After minting Rs 40 crore on the first day, Sunny Deol starrer Gadar 2 has become a blockbuster and has got the second-highest opening of this year after Shah Rukh Khan starrer Pathaan. Meanwhile, on Wednesday, August 16, the Anil Sharma directorial managed to earn over Rs 34 crore and didn't see any hurdles in witnessing the barrage of audiences in theatres even on day 6. That makes the total box office collection of the period action drama over Rs 263 crores.
According to a report on Sacnilk.com, Gadar 2 has finally surpassed the 250-crore mark after minting over Rs 263 crore in total till August 16. OMG 2, which is competing with the Sunny Deol starrer from day 1, has been quite far behind in the box office collection. Even on Day 6, the Akshay Kumar and Pankaj Tripathi starrer managed to mint Rs 7.75 crore, which makes Rs 80.02 crore its total BO collection till now.
Fans hailed Deol for his comeback as the action star and felt nostalgia after watching the second instalment of the superhit period drama film.

Written by Shaktimaan Talwar, the Anil Sharma directorial is bankrolled by the director himself under Anil Sharma Productions along with Zee Studios and MM Movies.
